a snowy friday five

I like snow. I am always amused by the panic it brings about in Columbus when a flake falls. Snow in Fredonia was lovely. I miss that.
Ice, on the other hand....
2. Have you ever built a snowman?
It's been a long time, when N. gets bigger.
3. Do you do any wintertime sports?
I like sledding, but here in the flatlands there's no place to go. I'm a hockey watcher. Me on skies woudl be a danger to myself and others on the slopes.
4. When's the last time you had a snowball fight?
I can't remember.
5. What's the most snow you've ever gotten in a single storm?
Super Bowl weekend 1985. We got at least three feet. It was the closest I've seen to panic about a storm when we lived in Fredonia. Everyone was prepping for staying in for a long time. That was a bad one.

Wilco on Letterman tonight
Jan. 7th, 2005 11:33 pmI see that Rosemary Kennedy died at the age of 86. She was the one daddy Joe put away into an institution after a botched lobotomy. Joe was worried that Rosemary's so called mild retardation would put her in a situation that would damage the family's reputation.
I think she was just behaving like a Kennedy man and Joe couldn't handle that, so he put her down.
OSU hockey beat Ferris State 3-1. Ferris played well, outshooting the Buckeyes in the first period 15-7, but Caruso made some dandy saves. Matt Beaudoin had a great night on offense, netting two goals and adding an assist.
