no work tomorrow

Plumbing issues were the theme of today. A leaky toilet lowered my water pressure and raised my blood pressure. Not fun. Work really wasn't bad. A bit slow in the morning, but I got some research done on books I've read and books I want to read. They love me there. What place would welcome you back after you took a short notice one month leave of absence? So, it's nice to have that eight buck an hour ego boost.

More plumbing issues in the afternoon. Bad pipe arrangement, and a pipe wrench that was too large for the job at hand. Then, lining up the piping right again. Oh, and it's leaking. No really, it's leaking down into the kitchen. After a few scrapes on the hand, and a lot of cussing, it took a nation of two to get the job accomplished, although the ball may be leaky.

So I got out of the house, and thank you very very much to pacoblanc for the invite to his home for a tasty terriaki burger. I am jealous of his pond. I'd name check the rest of the WB people, and met some people I have only seen or heard of, (hi jazzykym!) but you know who you are :)

I do have to also single out nobleds for the homemade and hand cranked ice cream that matched up quite well with the rest of my root beer. Fortuitous!

I've got my eleven year old spatlese here. It's held up well.

The Mets lost today, it's ok.

Coming home to see that you've sold two items is better then ok, and it will more than cover the refund!

I am not doing anything tomorrow, except mowing my lawn, and having my soul sucked away by Mandelay.
