They sang well
Mar. 4th, 2006 10:10 pmWalk The Line was slightly better than expected. Was there a plot? Is imitating famous people acting, or just Rich Little on the big screen? Reese looked cute with her autoharp. Joaquin was a good surprise, except in the close ups. I'm just not a fan of his look.
That's the thing. Does Hoffman win for, once again, imitation. Just like Foxx did last year? Probably. In that case Catherine Keener gets one too.
Here are my predictions of what I call 'the major awards'
Actor - Hoffman
Supporting Actor - Clooney
Actress - Huffman
Supporting Actress - Keener
Animated Feature - W&G
Cinematography - Brokeback Mountain
Directing - Brokeback Mountain
Foreign Language - Tsotsi
Documentary Feature - Murderball
Score - Memoirs of a Geisha
Screenplay, adapted - Capote
Screenplay, original - Crash
Picture - Brokeback Mountain
There's 13.
