what's your name? who's your daddy?

There was a murder about five blocks from us on Monday night. A woman in her 30's stabbed a man in his 60's to death. She lured him out of the house, they knew each other, and stabbed him in the neck while his back was turned.

It seems he had eaten a piece of cake she had wanted.

She is on a suicide watch in the county jail.

Why watch?

Very cold this morning. I switched my day off to Friday this week. Gives me time to go back to bed after taking the family to the airport at 5:30AM.

I'm not all that impressed with the latest Joseph Arthur cd. He takes to the falsetto a few times too many. Someday he'll allow himself to play with more musicians instead of drum machines. Out of his four, it's my least favorite.

I'm really liking Odessey and Oracle by The Zombies. Yeah, how did I wait so long? A bit of a predessor to the Badfingeresque power pop type sound, only with a Rod Argent's jangly keyboard instead of the Rickenbacker. I understand the band broke up before it was released. Who knows what may have happened had they stuck it out.

I may be persuaded for a tea excursion on Sunday. I really hope the call about my glasses soon. Firestone's getting another phone call too.
